Elysian Prairie Conservation exists for one thing: restoring and stewarding native prairie in the Loess Hills. A bequest supports that mission directly — habitat, stewardship, and the people who do the work.

Simple to arrange

A sentence in your will, or a beneficiary form from your retirement plan or insurance provider, is usually all it takes. Your attorney or advisor can add it in minutes using the language below.

You can change your mind at any time, and you choose whether we recognize your gift or keep it private. Telling us your intent simply lets us thank you and plan well.

Share this wording with your attorney. It works for a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the residue after other gifts are made.

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Loess Hills — Elysian Prairie and Restoration Project, a nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 37-2168075), located in Castana, IA, [the sum of $______ / ______ percent of my estate / the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate], to be used for its general charitable purposes in the restoration and stewardship of native prairie.”
